Equine Facilitated Learning at Dragonfly Ranch
Conducted in individual programs or small groups, Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) consists of unmounted lessons that include engaging activities with horses that teach character development and reinforce life skills. EFL at Dragonfly Ranch is ideally suited for students with conduct and anxiety issues, at-risk youth, and most other disabilities that may need support with gross and/or fine motor skills. We collaborate directly with parents and group leaders to establish specific goals for students.

DRAGONFLY HORSEMANSHIP 101 - $70
60 min 1:1 classes
Recommended as a 3-month session of 12 classes. Package session price $800
Recommended for students from 6 yrs to any age!
This class can be scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 11AM - 4PM.
All of our classes are set and/or adapted to the students’ needs and goals. At the heart of this class, we will learn how to treat the horse and ourselves with respect. Students will learn to work with a horse’s natural instincts and behaviors to create positive, meaningful, and safe experiences. As students interact with our ranch animals and learn how to care for our horses, we will engage in specific barn chores to help students improve communication, self-awareness, focus, and physical strength. This class session can continue as “Horsemanship 102”, or as needed, until intended goals have been met.
DRAGONFLY INSPIRED RIDER (DIR) - $85
60 min 1:1 classes
Recommended for a 3 month session of 12 classes. Package price $1,000
Recommended for students from 6 yrs to 16 yrs.
Must complete a full session of “Horsemanship 101” to participate.
This class can be scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 11AM - 4PM.
All of our classes are set and/or adapted to the students’ needs and goals. This class explores horsemanship and can evolve into mounted riding. As a DIR, you will engage in independent work with the horse. All DIR participants are able to halter, lead, and complete various obstacle courses with a horse. Students will learn specific tasks that help achieve mastery and increase confidence. Mounted riding will only be selectively offered as students’ progress in horsemanship knowledge and specific goals are achieved.
TAILORED FIELD TRIP RANCH EXPERIENCE
$25 per guest, with a minimum of 4 students/maximum of 8 students.
All ages are welcomed.
We offer this experience only on Fridays, 11-1.
A 45 min tour to learn about our adorable ranch animals and get to hang out with our goats! A comfortable picnic spot will be provided with water and a fresh fruit snack. Groups must provide 1 volunteer chaperone per 4 students for the duration of the tour.

$45 per family, 30 min tour and picnic spot provided
All ages are welcomed.
We offer this experience only on Sundays, between the hours of 1-3.
